Something nice about her. Yes she doesn’t have a filter sometimes but we all know someone like that in our lives. I remember her in that programme when they to India looking at places for the elderly. She was good fun in that.

I've always liked her. There's so much more to her than the odd vulgar outburst that editors always seem to emphasise

Miriam is very robust and not always what we might call ‘politically correct’ when expressing herself sometimes but I also have heard her speak compassionately and with genuine concern about certain matters, certainly her speech about what the Israeli government were doing to Gaza, coming from a woman of Jewish persuasion, was much needed.
I do like her but understand that she has a bit of a Marmite personality. And am sure she realises this too.

I like her attitude to the actions of the present government of Israel, especially as she is herself Jewish and very much alert to antisemitism. I do wish she wouldn't swear so much!!

Lucky you Cossy to see her, as I believe she has mitral stenosis a very painful narrowing of the spine.

Yes, she touched on that, she said she meant no offence and had wrongly assumed (for whatever reason) he was mixed race (not that it matters) and that she was so sorry she’d caused him any hurt and it was not her intention.

She also stated, very clearly, that she been “warned”not to say or do anything, in any way, that could have been seen as “contentious” and it had stressed her slightly and she opened her mouth and well and truly put her foot in it.

She has indeed, she touched on this and was clearly in pain and limiting mobility.

It was a “signed” performance, and she had such fun with a very “game” British “signer”, especially with “rude” words, it was really so amusing, the audience and herself, the signer and Ed were literally in stitches!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yes, she was very clear that she’s has dual nationality and loves both countries and lived between them for many many years. She became an Australian citizen in 2013, I believe, on Australia Day.

She may not have meant any harm but her 'assumption' and use of a racist term would receive absolute condemnation for most others, not the indulgent 'well that's Miriam' nods and smiles. Personally, I think stressed or not, she revealed an underlying attitude.

Rosie 9:31am If you’re applying she’s a “closer racist” I’d utterly refute that.

However, I completely accept, as she did, that her words were unacceptable.

I rather enjoy her, my DH however is rather vocal in not liking her at all!
