The fuss about this dress is just a deflection away from what she was saying about some members of the press being banned from reporting a Government briefing. Now that IS a serious matter that is worthy of comment.

Surely we've moved passed a woman having to justify her clothing choices. Judge the woman on how she does her job not on what she wears. Do you judge men in this way? Johnson's suits never seem to fit properly. Are we going to criticise him for not buying the proper size?

I'm saving my concerns about approriateness of behaviour for the really big hitters at No 10 and their puppet masters. Now that really is shocking.

We should be glad that our MPs are such a diverse bunch of individuals. Some chose to have a makeover and lose the glasses, some choose to dress like Lord Snooty from the Beano, some choose a Ken Dodd hairstyle, some choose the tweedy crofter look, some choose the shabby Grandad outfit.
Baring a shoulder may well catch on. I would have been thrilled if it had revealed a controversial tattoo as well.

The subject is the woman's dress code, which is inappropriate for office work, let alone the HoC. But I'm sure she's feeling very pleased with herself getting this moment in the spotlight, even if it is for all the wrong reasons.

/Why not wear a tailored jacket over the top of that dress?

If she was going for dinner at restaurant or cocktails later on in the day then just take the jacket off. This did not give out the message of showing a professional approach in the workplace.

There is a difference between thinking someone looks good or bad in an outfit and saying it
isn't a suitable thing to wear. The leather trousers didn't look good and the dress didn't fit. I'm not sure this dress looks good, but that doesn't mean I think she shouldn't wear it.

So you're happy to slate TM for her style of dress whilst she was on holiday and therefore "off duty", but TB turning up to work in a badly designed, ill fitting dress that falls off her and shows waaaay too much flesh is not to be discussed? Try this for logic -criticising an ill considered outfit is one thing, completely trashing her for wearing it with no other evidence as to her as a person is just damn silly.

dear me, possibly an error of judegment on her behalf. The dress is an appropriate colour and it looks as though it may have slipped a little in the picture. It is possibly not a great style.

Does it deserve the rampant mysogony ? Probably not.

Try to think of it in a different way

Woman wears what she wants to work + debates very important issue = a good thing

PM and his unelected puppet master attempt to silence press + it becomes apparent the HS doesn’t understand the basics of her job = a bad thing

No detracting, no diverting, just perspective.
