I was reading today that the government has just won a court case against single parents of children under two.
These single parents said they were discriminated against in the workplace, as parents of children over two get help with childcare costs.
The parents won the first time; DWP appealed and have now won the appeal.
Now the parents can go to the high court to appeal against the appeal.
If the government had wanted to be a government that works for everyone, it would not have appealed in the first place.

May is about to make a speech to partly address this issue, apparently:

Do you think they will bother Jen. Let's face it, it was there policies that have brought this about so presumably they will just stand by and watch - as the Tories have done all through their recent governments, sadly.

May talks the talk but she certainly doesn't walk the walk and I get the impression that her idea of "just managing" would not be the same as mine.

Can't wait for the government response to that report, GracesGran, to see how keen they are to work with the commission to achieve May's dream of a country that works for everyone.
