Am a dessert girl, when in a restaurant I like a good dessert, but seldom get one to the point where I now settle for just a main and eat dessert at home.
Choices of desserts are usually few and over priced for the quality and amount you get. I don’t expect mega portions but my favourite dessert is cheesecake and when they state a slice on the menu what you get is a sliver with a bit of juice squirted round it, two mouthfuls and it’s gone.
Oh for the days of the dessert trolley or glass cabinet, and the treacle tart or spotted dick pudding with steaming custard.
