It doesn't surprise me - Nick Cohen makes no secret of the fact he detests Jeremy Corbyn. I heard Nick Cohen speak at a literature festival last year (or possibly the year before - time flies). He seemed full of bitterness, bile and hatred and I left feeling quite depressed. He had nothing useful or interesting to say. I then went to hear another talk about suicide and the young man speaking was so engaging, warm, positive and life affirming that he left me full of hope. A very strange experience.

Annual ride for an animal charity collecting money and pet food from bystanders on route.

I know because we often ride along side them on our British Triumph!

Funnily enough Kitty I know somebody the same age as me who did just that a couple of years ago, blew all the cash on a Harley and got tattoos! His family could really have used the money spent as well.
It would take more than a midlife crisis to make me vote for Corbyn though.

paddyann since you are Scottish and live in Scotland and are a fervent SNP supporter and would like to break away from the rest of the UK, you are not actually affected much by austerity, the students there don't pay any tuition fees, you don't pay for prescriptions and houses are cheap compared to other places.
There will hardly be another 20 years of Conservative rule anyway, but austerity measures are certainly not unnecessary, given the deficit.

durhamjen you could as easily say that Labour are trying to steal the youth vote, promising no tuition fees at all, which is not feasible and would never happen anyway.
But the truth is that nobody is 'stealing' anything, but trying to influence the younger voter.

So we should only care about something that affects us personally, and vote accordingly? Is this really what we've come to?
