I can well imagine that there are a lot of people now who wished they had voted for Nick Clegg- and the voice of reason in this nightmare scenario.

The Libdems have always been virtualy ignored by the media except during the coalition years and they have hardly been included in the EU debate either on tv or the press.

Yet in spite of the disastrous 2015 election they have been more active than any other party in campaigning for Remain.

He worked for the European Commission for five years, so does know something about it. However, as we will be the first country to leave in this way, nobody knows what will really happen if we do leave, not even those who try to reassure us all will be fine.

I didn't see Gove.

Clegg is very much a Europhile, he will be passionate about Remain of course.

Nick Clegg's wife wrote about the problems Brexit will cause for the UK a couple of weeks ago - I think I saw a link to what she wrote on Facebook.

I thought Dimbleby was very good at trying to counter Gove's speeches. Gove wouldn't have answered a single question properly if Dimbleby hadn't put him back on track.

I agree that Cameron spoke well. He didn't even go red in the face. It's a shame he doesn't speak like that at PMQs. I almost warmed to the man (almost ).

I also agree with you about Dimbleby, Jalima.

Listening to it shows how good he is, too.
Perhaps he'll give more speeches this week.

Not surprised Clegg has been quiet. He was actually giving a speech in Edinburgh when they heard that Jo Cox had been shot.

I thought they gave him a really hard time tonight [harder than Michael'ignoretheexperts'Gove]and it really annoyed me when they wouldn't let him answer the question. Remain don't have as many soundbites to use as the leavers; I'm hoping that he really got his point across about the £350 million figure which, wrong as it may be, is now ingrained in peoples consciousness.

I have a postal vote gj (for a very good reason) but I will vote on the day, having discovered I can take it along to the polling station and put it in the box along with the others.

This is interesting. If Brexit win, the devolved governments will have to agree to remove all the references to EU law from their legislation. If they do not agree,probably because they vote to remain, there will be a constitutional crisis.

I find it bizarre that I am agreeing with Cameron, even Osborne- whom I would never vote for in a month, decade, century of Sundays- but I do agree with them and both make avery good case. I would just love to hear from Nick Glegg.

You make a good point DJ- should people be able to post in advance, by post- rather than on the day. New information comes up all the time. That lecture would perhaps have made all the difference to some. In Ye Olde days not long ago. all would have had to vote on the day- having listened to all the arguments to the last minute.
