Interesting article. I really hope Obama gets re-elected but I think, like the rest of us, he has been misled on this issue. I think the truth is slowly beginning to filter through. That's good and makes me more optimisitic about the future of humanity.

There are scientists on both sides of the argument, anyway.

Interesting article Bags (see post 18th May). Rather patronising tho' reference Eastern/Western mindsets.
I'm 'Western' but certainly do not 'blame' only the increase in Co2 for the changes that may be occurring ( note use of 'may'!) There are so many other potential possible causes altho' that does seem to be the main 'culprit'.
I totally agree with your later post:
'..what we don't yet understand about Earth's chaotic climate system is several orders of magnitude larger than we think we know'.
With this in mind I agree with Jeni about conserving non renewable resources, and would dare to go a step further by suggesting that we stop polluting our air, our seas, our land as that cannot possibly do us any good.

I don't suppose pollution does anything any good, so I agree about stopping it, ogm. Next step is agree what counts as pollution, I suppose. Certainly the plastic litter in the oceans and on the beaches counts as pollution in my book.
