I have never left my card on Amazon. It doesn’t take a minute to delete it and put it on again when you order.

This is how I know I've been scanned, because I get e-mails about an amazon account that doesn't exist.

So much of this happening. On the rare occasion I pay for anything online I always delete the card afterwards.

David do you mind me asking how your wife knew her account had been hacked? Did the hacker buy something using her card which she then noticed?

I never leave a card on Amazon. On the rare occasion that I use my Amazon account (about once a year) I buy a gift card from Tesco and pay with that. It usually means that there is a small amount left on my account, but if anyone nicks it, it is not the end of the world and that small amount is all they will get.

I changed my pasword and it now seems OK - I think AVG was being over-cautious.

There is nothing on the net about amazon having been hacked, not recently anyway.

I subscribe to Amazon music eith alexa . My card is saved in the wallet . It concerns me but if I delete I will lose my playlist .

How did she get hacked?
Amazon is not a “dangerous website!”

You will still get Prime if you’ve paid a yearly subscription.

I’ve used Amazon for years, I do have saved cards as I have a subscription,

IMO, it’s no more or less likely to be hacked than any other site or PayPal or online banking.

But thank you for the warning and I’m sorry about your wife being hacked.

I use Amazon for virtually all my shopping so I would be seriously inconvenienced without it.

My Amazon account was hacked years ago, now I use DH’s who has his card registered and Amazon Prime, it’s a win win for me 👍
