Ceramic non stick pan

Sounds good to me but DH loves all the metal implements in the kitchen; knives, forks, metal spoons and shuns the wooden and plastic implements. I bought him a small non-stick pan for fried stuff but it soon was very sticky - still I might try one just to see how long it lasts.
We are very lucky and have 2 TKMax's within easy reach. Next time I'm nearby I'll have a look

I bought a ceramic frying pan from Aldi a couple of months ago. So far it's been a dream - nothing sticks and so easy to clean

Mine sticks now. Perhaps it's not a very good one. I did buy it from a market stall in Abergavenny.

Give them a prod with said metal implements!

Just used the one we bought DS, it lived up to its reputation. Made great pancakes. x

Sounds brilliant but.......how do you stop DH, DS, DD et all using metal implements on them ?

For my 10,000 step walk this morning I parked in a village a few miles away from TK Maxx and went for another look after reading your recommendations. DD1 has a birthday coming up, so I bought a 2-pan set, a 24cm for me and a 28cm for her as an extra gift, with a 15 year guarantee. The prices per pan ranged from £9.99 to £14.99, and there were about 20 different ones to choose from. I look forward to experimenting soon.

I bought one of these omelette pans in October. I didn't actually want one, but DH thought they were a good idea and they were on offer. The only problem I have with it is that it will only work on one ring of my induction hob, which happens to be a back one, so is not very convenient, but apart from that, I'm really impressed at how easy they are to clean and absolutely nothing sticks to them, even without oil.

I bought a ceramic frying pan as a Christmas present for a friend. Recently I cooked a meal in it myself and found it was brilliant. My only criticism was that it is slightly concave (or is it convex?), so all the oil etc. ran to the edges as the centre is slightly raised. I shall buy myself one, but a different make.

Not complaining though- as he does take over most of the cooking when they are over- but... ;) -as said, next one will be hidden away for visits.

TKMax, how I wish we had one here! I think I will buy a new smaller one- and HIDE IT next time they visit- and hide all metal spatulas too- can't really hide all the knives and forks though.

A hug selection sounds nice!

I saw a hug selection in TK Maxx, and think I shall buy one soon. I am short of storage space, so must decide which size is best for me. Do any of them come with a lid? This helps to partially cook the white on the top of an egg, although I could use my Lakeland universal lid.
A friend loves her pan, even uses it dry to do oven chips for her GCs.

I love mine - use it all the time. Easy to clean and doesn't retain odours of curry, fish, etc.

Love my ceramic omelette pan. It's marvellous and never sticks. DH bought it after seeing them demonstrated on a shopping channel.

Got a huge one bought at ATAC in France 2 years ago. I am very very careful with it- but sil totally wrecked it over Christmas by using metal forks, knives, etc- despite me asking, nicely- not to. Families hey!!

I have two ceramic pans that I hide away from my lodger who, no matter how many times I tell him, doesn't 'get' that he's not to use metal implements when cooking with non-stick pans.
So far I'm pleased with the pans.
