I am due to have a Polypectomy on Thursday and have just read all the pre procedure information and am now feeling very nervous. I was fine with the colonoscopy and the sigmoidoscopy but having read about the possible complications, I am now feeling incredibly anxious. The chances of a perforated bowel are higher when it is a large polyp which mine is. It is also in an awkward position apparently and I had to wait for a level three surgeon to do the procedure as the one who did the sigmoidoscopy was level one.
I have a tendency to start shaking uncontrollably during hospital procedures. I shook the whole two and a hours during my pacemaker insertion and was surprised they could still do it! Just looking for some reassurance.
