Partial dentures

I have one from the NHS. It looks so false to me that when I saw my dentist today I agreed to pay for a privately made one. It wasnt cheap and I'm a little worried about what I've agreed to. Anyone on here had privately made dentures??.

Yes. Partial ones. Quite expensive but very realistic.

I paid about £1,000 for my partial lower denture. It looks realistic and is comfortable. If I ever need more teeth they can be added.

Paying privately is definitely worth it , I did this during the period of Lockdown & the result was great !

Yes, partial denture is very comfortable and has lasted me for years now. Well worth the initial outlay.

Yes. I had a NHS dentist but paid for my partial denture. It's mainly for front teeth so is specially important. Should I mention it when renewing my annual insurance?

What’s the difference between nhs partial plate & private, is the private one not made of plastic?
I have a plate with two teeth (side teeth) I absolutely hate it. It’s not uncomfortable but I hate to eat with it, it really spoils the experience of a meal out.
I am going to get implant. Just wish I’d saved the £300 towards it.
