Senile Purpura

My dh gets these all the time. They appear without him realising he has knocked himself and then disappear reasonably quickly but can be an eye sore for sure.
I am sure moisturising may help. It’s something I have started to do more often than I did.

I have this condition and was wondering if anyone has any advice on dealing with it. I use plenty of moisturiser on my arms and lower legs and try to avoid getting knocked but in Summer it is harder to go around wearing thick garments to protect these areas. Any advice would be appreciated.
