Spring Covid booster

We had ours last Thursday, with no side effects apart from a slight ache at the site of the injection, which only lasted a couple of days.

I had mine last Thursday, was very tired the next day and was in bed by 7.30 pm! I slept well and woke feeling so much better. This was the first reaction ever to a covid vaccination. A very small price to pay for protection , I would never miss a vaccination.

DH had his on Saturday, absolutely fine.

Himself had his (7th) booster on Thursday. Tired that night. Achey muscles. Sore arm.

Zero side effects from both of us. We had Moderna.

I think everyone has Moderna this time.

We had them on Friday. We still have sore arms. That was DH's only side effect. I was really tired on Saturday and couldn't get warm all day.

Just had mine two hours ago. So far, so good, no side effects. Have always had my covid jabs when reminded.

Had Moderna vaccine on Saturday. Exacerbated the PMR which I have … which has been quiescent up until then. 🤬. Taking it quietly today… hope better by tomorrow.

I had the Moderna last Wednesday, slightly sore arm, but otherwise ok.

I had mine on Saturday. No problems. Arm was less sore than previously.

Not everyone gets the Spring one. Over 75s and immuno compromised only. However they seem to ask more people to get the Autumn one.

My hubby was invited for his a couple of weeks ago but decided to put it off as he had an important function to attend and was worried he’d not be able to go if he suffered side effects. Oh the irony- he got Covid so couldn’t attend the function after all. 🙄

After two vaccinations, I had raised heart rates, so I had to miss the last one. And I won't have it thus time, either, unless the Dr says it's okay.

We had ours (Moderna) last Saturday, sore arms and Mr Nick was ok , I had slight headache that evening and shivery on the Sunday but no problem at all since !

Had Moderna last week. From the evening I had aches all over and was very tired and stiff. Took 2 paracetamol and slept okay. The next day was the same but the day after that I was fine. This isn't unusual for me, I have side-effects from flu-vaccines as well.

Even though the vaccine can't prevent us catching Covid the short-lived side-effects are worth it to me in order to reduce the risk of hospitalisation.

My husband had the same Moderna vaccination on the same day and had no side effects beyond a slightly sore arm later in the day (he rarely gets side-effects after vaccinations).

We also wear FFP3 (N99) masks every time we leave the house and still do not have anyone else in the house. After 5 years it may seem extreme but watching my daughters life seriously restricted by long covid brings home the potential damage the virus can do. It's not a lottery we want a ticket for.

Had ours two weeks ago, Moderna Spikevax. Only side effect was a sore arm for a few days. You don't need to wait for an invitation. Go onto NHS website and book jab. Very easy to do. If you haven't done it before you will need your NHS number.

Mine is booked for the wknd but have had dreadful cough/cold/flu like symptoms fo almost 2 weeks now so don't know whether I should go or not. Tried phoning the surgery but no. 11 in the queue at the last attempt and then cut off. Any ideas?

My partner and I had the Moderna Spikevax JN.1 jab on Saturday 5 April. Both felt a bit hot-and-cold the next day and my arm was a bit sore for 2 or 3 days, but that’s all. However, I did have a massive nosebleed from one nostril during Sunday night (a problem I’ve had on and off for over a decade), and as it was the first time I’d had one of those for nearly 3 years, I suspect it was related to that vaccine – which does apparently have more side effects than the Pfizer alternative. It was noticeable at our GP surgery that there were notices everywhere telling you which vaccine was being used, and everyone who had it was specifically given that information at the time.

Glad to hear it seems to be moderna as I think that one seems slightly more effective.
I don't thour GP surgery have done them for the last couple of years. I just book on the NHS app for a pharmacy.
I'm putting it off a few weeks as we had the last ones in December so I want to space them out a bit better.

Just got back from having mine. Made an appointment two days ago but it was also a drop in clinic in Tesco's carpark. I was the only one there, outnumbered by staff.

I had mine a few days ago and my arm was achey for a couple of days. I also found that, when I turned over in bed onto my injected arm, I woke up. That lasted for a couple of nights too, but no big deal.
All manageable though and a lot better than Covid in my opinion. I take whatever is offered (after discussing it with my lovely pharmacist, who is always happy to discuss any wobbles I might have). You can’t complain about being ill if you haven’t taken all the advice you have been given about keeping well.
I am 79 by the way, if that helps.

I have just had mine this morning, never had any effects that I noticed.. my friends also.. not heard anyone say any effects.oh I am 88 , going on.....
