Anyone care to share your experience of a cataract op. please ?

One cataract in December and other in January- chose long distance vision and bought very cheap reading glasses until check up in 6 weeks at optician. Shall opt for bifocal lenses in spectacles as taking reading glasses off and on can be annoying!

Hi- I’m having cataract surgery and having it replaced with multi lenses so I won’t need to wear glasses. The surgeon has pointed out that in dark rooms I will have to have better lighting. As I need glasses for long distance I have thought this would be a better option.
Has anyone any experience of these lenses? He went through all the options but before I pay I’d appreciate Grans net views. Thanks

I've just got distance lenses in my eyes now. So no glasses for everyday use but I need reading glasses for close work. No complaints. I have sun glasses too of course.
I worried so much about the ops themselves but they were absolutely fine. Just lie back. I saw lovely colours and shapes but felt nothing. Lots of drops beforehand to anaesthetise the eyes of course. One eye done first and the next two weeks later. It all felt a bit of a production line.

Whilst I don't have those lenses, I would check out the NHS website, RNIB, and a few US and Australian leading websites and on You Tube for further info.
