Operation for prolapse repair

Auntieflo, I remember the advice I was given after having my fourth child - in a hurry. The second stage of labour was six minutes (two huge pushes) resulting in much bruising and blood blisters. (Sorry for the icky details.) The doctor said to make a large pad of tissue and hold it firmly on the vulval area when emptying the bowels. It really helped!

You sound as if you are doing fine. I’m so glad. I too had probs getting the poo out. I think it is the muscles readjusting to new layout! I found glicerine suppositories did the trick. I still, three months on, use them occasionally along with fibogel and lactulose. Anything not to undo the good work. Just had my final check with surgeon and told it’s ‘holding up nicely’!

Hi Just a quick update.My last operation was cancelled. I went in to hospital today for my op. I actually got to Theatre, waited for 45 minutes or so, only to be told they couldn't go ahead as the anaethetist had left, they had managed to get the rest of the team together but no go.
So, it will have to be done this week or at the latest next week as they will be up to 52 weeks and will incur hefty financial fines. I am absolutely furious, especially as my chest seems to be causing problems.
Oh I was in bed 13!! Not that I'm superstitious.

Oh Claudiaclaws how awful for you, especially as I had no problems in getting referred and on the list.
A wait of 52 weeks is appalling.
