Thank you ladies. Change of plan though, didn't manage to get out today. I need to buy a ramp now to get out of the house! 
It managed to get in the house, but it is a big one and will struggle to get out via the front so will have to arrange handyman to put locks on gate to get out at the back.
Annie They are wonderful. If you are having trouble with your mobility I suggest getting one sooner rather than later. I love mine. My handyman has said he will put some fun plates on for me if I get some. 
I got a new scooter today, a lovely Rascal Pioneer in red, all singing and dancing with a really comfy seat. New, they go for between £1700 and £2500, second hand about £850 plus delivery. I got mine for £600 including deliver and putting my Little Star scooter into the car for me to take to the hoist place to put in my new car. I think that is a good deal, 3 months insurance and guarantee. Plus two cups of tea, biscuits and a bowl of water for the doggie. It just goes to show what a flash of an ankle can do!
I can't wait to get it on Friday to try it out at the park.
