Is buying a new electric blanket Health?

I've just bought dreamland intelligent heat .its king size but I'm also buying it for guest beds. It's out of stock in JL at the moment I'm waiting for an email.it has extra warmth at the feet if necessary and has a programme for 9 hours or one hour.

I've never owned an electric blanket. I've never felt the need. A high tog duvet suits us fine.

I have got the Dreamland intelligent too. I like a light duvet and a warm electric blanket.

Can't stand a heated bedroom, so by December's end, bedroom is goose pimple city.

Sliding into a warm (not hot) bed is great. Cold temps do nothing for conviviality.

I have a Dreamland Intelligent as well. I love it, there is nothing like sliding onto a warm bottom sheet in winter. I bought mine from Amazon.
I cam highly recommend it.

Hi rosesarered. So your DH warms the bed. Without being explicit,
which side does he warm? .

My DH can slide into bed freezing to the touch and, within 5 mins he's toasty

Has anyone tried those wheat bags that you can warm in a microwave? Then put it at the end of your bed for toasty toes.

LuckyDucky because Mr Roses rolls around a lot to get comfy ( think of a dog settling in a basket) he generally manages to warm most of the bed.

Never use an electric blanket with a memory foam mattress or topper, it's a fire hazard

Have just bought a king size electric blanket from Lakeland. Has twin controls. Vey easy to fit . No ties . Just has material edge which fits over mattress . Am delighted with it.

Electric blankets and/or the need for their replacement is Health, surely?.

Our leccy blanket is 3 years old. Maybe it should be replaced, as DH has the only controls.

Got a dreamland as well. My only gripe is that when it goes off after an hour the controls glow with a blue light.
Electric blankets are extremely cheap to run. So if you are having trouble keeping warm, don't worry about your bill.

Yes the blue light is annoying. We have linked twins and separate blankets so my control is always on the wrong side too.
OH finds his essential for managing arthritis pain at night.
