clocks change

The only difference I notice is the lighter evenings

We've been waking up early for the past few weeks. I think its the increasingly light mornings. So we're all set for the clocks to go forward. Bring it on!!

I wish they would just leave the clocks on BST and have done with it!

I tend to feel a bit out of kilter for a while when the clocks change ? but I love the lighter nights so that makes up for it ?

I hate it when they put the clocks forward as the weekend is one hour shorter and Monday morning arrives one hour earlier.

I LOVE IT when the clocks go forward. I am always ready to go to bed now at 9 o'clock but feel this is too early so tomorrow night 9 o'clock will be 10 o'clock and off I will go to bed. The mornings suit me better too..............

It means I can play golf later in the day and not have to go out at the crack of dawn (9.30!!!)

But I used to hate the spring clock change,when I worked week-ends
Because it was usually always Mothering Sunday.

So for all the ladies who have to get up an hour early tomorrow morning.

Wish this clocks on and back would stop,

Take an hour off Mother's Day, why don't they? Still, it does mean it is well into the day now and I can open a present, yeah!!!

I love it, longer nights to sit in the garden. Plus if I'm out on my scooter I like to get back before it starts going dark so now I will have extra time. Brilliant.

I had the usual conversation with my DD yesterday on the subject of changing the clocks. She never remembers whether it's forward or back!
I used to hate it when I was on night duty. We lost an hour and in Nursing home terms it was very confusing. Fitting in all the tasks after the hour forward, everything seemed so rushed.

I slept in this morning and I NEVER sleep in. Didn't even wake up until 7.40 (well 8.40) that's "knocked me all to pot" for the day.

I'm going out for a Mothers Day lunch at noon. In my mind that's still 11 am. I'm not ready to eat a big roast at that time. Help ...

My DH changes all the clocks the night before so i get very confused!

We change the clocks so we are in sinc with everyone else, but we only change meal times and bedtimes by half an hour. We find this works for us and is not such a shock in the routine. It works backwards an forwards depending the time of year.

OH changes our clocks before we go to bed, an I send messages so my boys are not late for work! I once went to work too early and wondered where everyone was! So funny but confusing at the time.

Let's stick with old-fashioned GMT - BST is a new-fangled invention introduced for benefit of farmers, who hate it. And overall it makes not the slightest difference. As a country child I always automatically reacted to natural daytime - in summer was up with the larks and would be awake till late, in winter somewhat later and tired earlier.

Worst thing was when the DCs were little and 6am starts became 5am. Hated that.

How many of us have forgotten to change them and been late for work because of forward, or too early when turning them back.

What makes me laugh is when they say we have an extra hour of daylight, even Monty Don said it on this week's Gardener's World!! We don't have an extra hour, it just starts and ends at different times.

I suppose not many of us work/worked on a Sunday but my DH worked shifts and one of his colleagues turned up two hours late beause he'd changed his clocks the wrong way the previous night!
