Get them planted!
I planted mine 6 weeks ago; " Caledonia P{earl" (first early)
outdoors in my allotment, in a bed enriched with home- made compost and (after planting ) covered with a thick mulch layer of seaweed. They are up through the seaweed and about 5inches high.
I also have a bag of "Lady Chrystal" potatoes growing in the sunny unheated greenhouse which are 18 inches high, much further ahead because they are so sheltered. will be flowering by the end of May and eaten as new potatoes by mid June.
Both new varieties to me, got them at a potato and seed fair. because they hadn't got the variety I usually grow, Estima.
I've been growing Estima for many years, delicious spuds from very healthy plants.
Plant your different sorts with a label to tell you which is which when you start eating them, so you know which favourite variety to plant next year.
