Rhododendron

Hi

Ive seen some rhododendron in the shape of lolly pops rather than an actual bush. Are they 2 separate things or are they just shaped like that please ? Thanks in advance

I think they’re grown as a standard - so possibly a hybrid.
Those I’ve seen online are all in pots and tubs.

You can turn any bush into a lollipop if you take off the side buds and branches as it grows
Were they more expensive ?
