Advice please on a Daphne Odora .

My Daphne, often called Wintersweet, is looking extremely droopy. What might be the reason ?

It’s been a very dry spring, if it’s still a young tree it might need more water.

I think it is well established. We have been here 4 yrs and no trouble. It is about 4ft wide and 5 ft high. I have watered it a lot .

Can you put up a photo of it BBbevan?
If watering isn't reviving it, it could be something eating the roots or stem.

Could anything have disturbed the roots?
I've found that they absolutely will not tolerate any disturbance.

I'm not good at technical stuff, but will ask DH about a photo tomorrow. If it stops raining.
