Asparagus peas

I tried seeds for these "peas" and they have provided me with beautiful plants and delicate blossoms, now showing lovely "peas" about 2" long. I just don't know when the peas are ready for harvest, or how to cook them. Any experience, please?

Dahlia, I have just looked up Asparagus peas, and the suggestion is that they should be picked when approx 3 cm long, otherwise they can go stringy.
They sound lovely.
