I am an experienced grower of vegetables, 40+ years under my belt but having reached my 8th decade, things are changing. I will be keeping half my allotment, full of good fruits and flowers and I will have space for some veg. It is not worth my while to grow shallots and garlic and squash takes up too much room
I want green veg, not brassicas, I can buy organic clean brassicas cheaply. So far I have only come up with fordhook chard, which I have grown for years, never gets eaten by bugs and never has bolted. Beans etc are a no for me as I will only be visiting to weed etc every 2 weeks because of the distance
Is there anything I can add to the green veg supply? Not interested in any roots etc
