Weight is what you have to do when the traffic lights are red.

Traffic is what the red light builds up when it makes all the cars stop. Often causing a traffic jam, a red jam.

To jam is to join in with others playing instruments to make music together.

An instrument is a device used to produce music, something I never had the patience to learn.

Patience Strong was the pseudonym of a 20th century English female poet. I read her poetry in one of my mother's women's magazines in the 1960/70s. Still sticks in my mind.
