(Wenmore that is a real blast from the past. As I remember, Patience Strong wrote extremely sentimental soppy poems and they were also sold as greeting cards).

Eng-lish is like Brit- ish in other words sort of, or a little bit Eng-el-ish when you are unsure of whether you belong here because your parents were born in a different part of the world.

Patience Strong was the pseudonym of a 20th century English female poet. I read her poetry in one of my mother's women's magazines in the 1960/70s. Still sticks in my mind.
