A mixture of both, I love to get out & about but also like to have a couple of days where I can catch up with a few jobs or just have a lazy day in the house or sitting reading in the garden otherwise I get a bit frazzled.

Do you like to tidy up & get your jobs done before going off out or do you just clear off and not worry.

No. The garden was newly planted when I moved in 16 years ago. We do have an ancient tree though.

Do you like to be out and about or are you happier at home?

No , not now.

We have a clematis in our garden which was planted before we moved in. We have lived here for nearly 40 years and it is still going strong.
Do you have any plants that you know are as old ?

Yes, a maidenhair fern which I bought recently. I grew up with one in the house and my mother treasured it. So now I look at mine and it reminds me of her. I know they are a bit delicate so I'm being careful with it.

Do you have things in your garden which regularly need picking? Sweet peas? Tomatoes or runner beans etc.?

Yes, I'm thrilled to bits about the rain. The heat was exhausting and I'm getting lazier about watering plants, except the new and vulnerable.

Have you any plants which you particularly nurture?

We couldn’t have cared less about the sex, as long as they were healthy babies… Managed one of each.

Damp outside this morning and rain forecast for later. Are you pleased about that ?

Couldn't find it at first but did eventually, after taking ages, although we went as a family to the US ... when we got back , had a long drive home from the airport, realised when we arrived home we were missing a case ... next day hubby & son , had a long trek back to retrieve it !

I know a lot people now want to know the sex of their unborn child personally I wouldn't want to know , as an element of surprise , also mistakes can happen ... would you have liked to know or did you know the sex of your child before he/ she was born ?

At the moment yes it does, now the schools have broken up it will be even worse.

Have you ever had your case go missing at the airport, I haven’t but a relative of mines went missing for a week on her return to the Uk recently, all returned safely eventually.

I think that is the job of their parents.

Travel chaos today Dover/Folkestone. Does it put you off travel to Europe ?

Ive never fancied a trip to cold and chilly places.

What would you like to see taught in schools that currently isnt?

I would like to see children taught good old fashioned manners like saying please and thank you, respect for adults and authority figures.

No, I much prefer not to. Children are lovely (mostly), but I prefer quiet holidays without them being around.

Have you ever visited the Arctic or Antarctic? Or do you wish you could? I've always fancied a trip to the Antarctic.
Or a cruise up the coast of Norway?

My job was polishing the furniture every weekend with a tin of that solid wax. I don't have anything that needs polishing now.

Would you go on holiday during school holidays?

When I was a child I had politics rammed down my throat by an argumentative parent so I switch off mentally at its very mention, I'm afraid.

As a child I had to do the dusting every Saturday morning which I loathed and have no such routine now. Do you have any similar feelings in this respect (childhood chores)?

Sometimes I do - it depends what demands I have on my time and what else has popped up waiting to watch.

Have you watched any of the conservative party leadership debates? Or have you lost interest?

Ive watched some of it but I suspect a lot of fur is going to fly in the next few weeks.

I fancied living in Italy one time as there was an unsubstantiated family rumour that we had Italian ancestors, I felt an affinity with the country and I was involved in opera.

Do you ever stick with a tv series or film to the bitter end even if you are getting bored with it?

Have you ever thought about moving to another country to live & why ?

Perhaps not a law ... but get retirement age back down & make the ones who can BUT won't work ... work for a change ... I know there are genuine ones & many disabled people work ... good on them ... but I can name people who have no intention to work at all ... if they can they should work , for their free money should be make to do some work to help the community & other people ... no work no money simple as !!!

Also love Alstromeria because the look so exotic and last and last. I also love stargazer lilies but they pong!

If you were Prime Minister tomorrow what would be your first law?

Mine would be to scrap the standing charge and VAT on fuel.

Mostly but I don't use it on towels.

What are your favourite flowers?

Mainly fruit and or yogurt. I make a dessert or pudding if we have visitors.

I am making an effort to drink more water and I think it is having a good effect.

I might have postponed it for a couple of weeks... it's a bit soon to be sure she is negative.

Like cricket, yes. Completely understand it’s rules? No but at least there’s no ‘offside’ to deal with.

At the dentist this am. A bit nervous because she had Covid last week, but she’s had two negative tests. Would you have gone?

No, I used to use fabric conditioner but I think's it's slimy and can have a detrimental effect on the plumbing. For me, I find the laundry is better without it.
