New potatoes in the fridge, always. They keep better there.
Old ones, hardly ever, though when it’s very hot they’d probably prefer the fridge, too. When we lived in a very hot climate, all veg, inc. potatoes and onions, had to be kept in the fridge or they’d rot and g o slimy very quickly.
But we did have a very big fridge - it was a necessity.
