Christmas pudding

I leave my pudding in the bowl, and when it is cool, I re-wrap it with clean greaseproof paper and put foil on top of the greaseproof, both with a pleat, ready for re-steaming on Christmas Day. I store it in the fridge.

I juts wonder if it will fall apart in the cooking. I like to turn mine out when its steamed onto a plate with an edge(to catch the juices) pour brandy on, light then bear aloft to the dining hall (delusions of grandeur here) to cheers of applause.

I take my puddings out of the bowl and wrap them first in greaseproof and then foil. I store them in the back of a corner kitchen cupboard I don't use very often as it's awkward to get into for everyday use.

I also remove mine from the bowl when cold and wrap in baking grease proof paper, I have kept them a year wrapped up in this way, also in the top of the wardrobe!!

I have always wrapped mine in the pudding bowl it had its first steam in double greaseproof then when cold, then a cloth/tea towel and stored in dark place - a wardrobe and they have always been fin. I unwrap all that on the Christmas Eve and re do the greaseproof ready for steaming on Xmas Day.
