...that caffeine is very water soluble and so, if you want to have a cup of tea at bedtime, the best way is to pour a little boiling water on teabag, wait a second then remove teabag. Then throw that tea away. Start again to make a cup of tea using the same teabag, which will have lost most of its caffeine? And there you have -decaffeinated tea.
