Seeing a mention of Gipsy tart in the pudding thread reminded me of Gipsy Cream biscuits, and also Ayton Sandwiches, which were similar.

Where did they go?

When I was little a small bag of 'Iced Gems' seemed like heaven to me. However, when I had them as an adult I realised they were lumps of hard icing on an plain, indifferent biscuit base. However, a Digestive never lets you down.
