Each to their own and if it makes you feel better about yourself even better. But I do find celebrities who deny they have had tweaks very annoying.
"Oh,, it's all down to yoga and a healthy lifestyle" or "I just avoid sunlight on my skin!"
Yeah, right just own it!

Personally I prefer the Dolly Parton approach.😬

I do admire Dolly Parton and her approach to maintaining her looks but I would be too frightened to have cosmetic surgery.
I used to think that I would like to have a tummy tuck surgery.
then I had actual surgery for health reasons.
Only if I need it for health reasons now.....

I think Carol looks amazing, she’s a bright, well educated woman with strong opinions.

I also like Nigella for similar reasons.

I wouldn’t have cosmetic surgery, though think it’s an interesting topic.

Everyone to their own! Live and let live.

Down with mysogonism! (Oops soz spelling!)

I think it’s the pretending that I find irritating about Carole Vordeman. The comment about ‘I might have surgery in a couple of years or so”. When it’s quite obvious she’s been having surgery for years.

Nigella I haven’t seen for ages.

And yes, like you, I hate the way films, television etc always seem to portray the older man as having a much younger wfe or girl friend even when they’re supposed to be the same age. Iremeber Sheika Hancock being turned down for the wife in ‘A Year in Provence’ opposite John Thaw - even though they were actually husband and wife in reality- and a much, much younger actress being cast in the role.

They were supposed to be a retired couple. 🤔

is I, Jack Wright worth watching?

People are always horrible about Carol Vorderman you are right

Recently I saw that Carol Vorderman tripped over a tree root whilst out walking.
This statement on FB was instantly followed up with a load of misogynistic comments, mostly about the plastic surgery she's had done, her looks generally, her looks etc.
Possibly all stemming from envy as she is a highly intelligent woman who is in the public eye and has previously mentioned that she is happily single and has a few male friends. She is I think aged 65, one of the comments suggested she should dress her age!
Her money, her choices, her life. Conversely, Nigella L can do no wrong, men adore her and comments online about her reflect this.
Continuing with this theme I have this week watched the new TV drama called I, Jack Wright.
Decided to binge watch it during the hot days we've had this week.
Without giving away any plot details the opening scene shows a very wealthy attractive man who is 74. His wife of course much younger.
Then we see his first wife who was probably early seventies as well, but she looks like a 90 year old! Frumpy in style etc, looking very much like she gave up on her appearance when her marriage ended. Interesting....looking forward to any comments on this subject.
