It’s almost Christmas! I absolutely love Christmas. I love the food, the presents, the music, the lights, the time spent with family... I am, to quote a teenaged relative, “buzzing”, I think that means very excited. Six days and counting
Monica - it was not my intention to disrupt the thread, but I am entitled to my opinion, as indeed you are yours. However, my feathers remain unruffled - Happy Christmas to you.
Happy Christmas Tooglam and all other Grans, jolly or otherwise. It's a pity when a lovely positive post degenerates into a slanging match and a race to the bottom in trying to out misery everyone else.
Happy Christmas Tooglam and all other Grans, jolly or otherwise Magsymoo: Hang on Magsy! There are still a few Grandads around and we are always jolly; otherwise we don't get the job of Santa.! My Christmas Message from (not to!) the colonies to all you girls, is it's Christmas, so Kiss and Make up! Happy Christmas!
Sorry Grandads, merry Christmas to you all too! Lovely to hear you are all jolly - you deserve to be santas. Let's hope the girls lighten up. I think one of the problems with the girls is that we all take on too much at this time of year, expecting everything to be perfect, and then get exhausted and grumpy. Let's take a lead from the boys and chill out.
Let's take a lead from the boys and chill out Magsy; Thank you; although the "experts" are promising 33C for Christmas Day so "chilling out" will require quite a large stockpile of "coldies', but I'm sure we'll manage, stretched out on the lounger under the sun-umbrella. ; totally relaxed as I'll be on my own so no guilty conscience worrying about "grumpy" girls tearing their hair out in the kitchen. Anyway, you are too modest; after years of practice (how many would you say?) it'll be a doddle! Christmas comes but once a year... just relax and keep that sherry close to hand. Good Luck and have a Merry Christmas.
I am enjoying every moment of it, even if the cream cheese frosting for the Yule log is liquid rather than soft and ready to apply. I followed the recipe and I have done it before .
But this year, I am going to buy little things to put in family presents when I see them, and not forget where I have put them. I am not going to lose the cards I have left over. I am going to be so organised that the whole thing is going to be great fun and not stressful at all.
In case the recent posters Resurgam123 and CrazyH haven't noticed.... best to read the date of the OP, then you don't get
It's nearly time for Mid-Winter Christmas here, a traditional celebration in Australasia and I'm looking around for a nice restaurant for a whoopee of a celebration.
