Good morning from a (still) dry Bristol.
You have a lot of cycling to watch today, Mick!
Ash, I’m glad that the play run has been successful, but also that it’s coming to an end, regarding being hard work. madeleine,, and well done to have overridden the GP’s dragon ladies and may the antibiotics work on your cellulitis.
Yesterday was quiet apart from church cleaning and coffee. I didn’t stay very long because my back was hurting from bending over to sweep the floor.
I had taken some of my spare tomatoes in; one person was delighted because she loves yellow tomatoes. I planted red, orange and yellow baby tomato plants because I like their colour.
Today, just church then empty again. August is a very solitary month; I hadn’t spoken to a soul since Wednesday until yesterday.
Have a blessed Sunday. Carpediem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from Malta where it’s going to be 41°C today and sunny.

Had a lovely morning with my friend yesterday. After coffee she wanted to go and check out a shoe shop that had a sale on so we went in her car. Both of us bought some lovely sandals at half price ( I didn’t need another pair!) and I was very glad of the lift home as I have an annoyingly painful ankle.

The boys arrived for their sleepover and were both absolutely sweet. They eat a lot but they use an awful lot of energy! My living room looks as though a bomb has hit it!

After their bath and several stories DGS2 fell straight to sleep whilst his brother had me laughing, he comes out with such funny things!😂 He finally gave up and slept at 10 pm by which time I was tired too.

They are both still asleep so I’m hoping to get my tea in bed before we start another busy day! They really are a joy, bless them.

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Good morning from south Glos where I’m enjoying the coolness of the dawn while drinking coffee in bed 😊
I slept very well; I was considering getting a warmer duvet out but I’ll stick with just adding layers to the bed for the time being. It’s too early for the winter one!
All the washing dried nicely yesterday, always very satisfying.
I might do some coloured pencils work today, I was given three adult colouring books from Kew to keep me busy, beautiful drawings. It will make a change from needlework and I can sit at the table in my shed.
Best wishes to you all x

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a cloudy South Yorkshire. My cold has settled down but the cough is a nuisance. Fortunately it doesn’t seem to keep me awake at night. I did a small shop yesterday and then did some tidying up which has been much neglected this week. GS rang to ask if they could come over and bring fish and chips for tea. They were very nice indeed - always a treat if you don’t have them often - and everyone was very relaxed.

Today I hope I shall feel up to doing a walk somewhere, but apart from that, nothing on the agenda.

Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a bright blue skied Black Country.

Visited DD and the girls yesterday. We walked to the new Cafe in their village for lunch. It was excellent, I had flatbread with Kofta beef and salad and spicy yoghurt. The coffee was very good too.

DGD2 has now to start preparing to go away to University in September. DD and SIL have to pay her rent as DGD cannot get a loan for that as DD apparently earns too much!! She can have a load for Fees and living costs.

No real plans today, catch up on housework, and tidy the garden, after the rain everything will start shooting up again.

Good to see you are resting R&L hoping you are feeling stronger each day.

Wishing you all the best day possible.
