Do you always alter your clocks?

I know it sounds a silly question but apparently some folk like to permanently stay on either GMT or BST.
It must make life really complicated surely, having to remember that the rest of the country is either an hour ahead or back.

Extra daylight is often quoted for the reason for doing it yet of course we don’t actually get more or fewer hours of daylight, just at a different time.

I’m just wondering if anyone does this, or has ever been tempted!

Beware not changing the clock on a car. We were abroad one year over a time change. I drove my car home from the airport then a few weeks later received a fine for driving in a bus lane that day. My then car didn’t change the clock automatically and so I’d accidentally driven in the bus lane, thinking it was an hour earlier than it actually was. - oops!

Tbh the house ones have flat batteries and haven’t told the right time for two years. As for the car 🤷‍♀️ I never look at the clock, prefer to watch the road. Saves hitting things.

I have trouble changing the clock on my oven. I leave it as it is and this time of year I know that it shows the right time. The rest of the year I have to mentally add an hour!

We forgot for the first time ever, I woke up at 3 am and changed our cooker clock as DH gets up early and wouldn't have thought about it!!

I don’t change the car one, simply because I am idle! It’s on GMT all year. As I don’t use it for appointments, it doesn’t matter.
I do wish they’d stop this nonsense and leave it on BST all year, I prefer my evenings lighter and don’t mind getting up when it’s dark.

YesLets

I keep the car clock on BST. Something to look forward to during winter.

I only chnage my car clock if I get stuck in very bad traffic - gives me something to do... 😂

Oh dear SueDonim what a nasty surprise for you.
Hiring a car abroad is enough of a minefield isn’t it without getting caught for something like that.
