Rest up now Marydoll you’re under doctor’s orders. I’m sure we’re all hoping your bloods are okay and you get some reassurance soon. Hopefully the extra meds will show an improvement in your symptoms.

Thank you, FGT . ❤️

Marydoll, I’m glad you got to see your old GP and hope the increased heart meds help.

Stormy night here in coastal West Sussex - I heard the food waste bin blowing around outside when I went to bed but just left it as the collection was this morning, early. DH removed it from outside our opposite neighbour’s when the men had been. I am struggling with the season - not enough distraction from the increasing cold and darkness. I have plenty to do but not enough motivation to do it! A pot of orange peel and juice is waiting in the kitchen and the bag of pips etc is dripping into a bowl. The oranges have been in the freezer since January. I love ‘real’ marmalade - few commercial ones or the tinned oranges have quite the tang of homemade from Seville oranges. I will be cheered up when I have a few jars to see us through until January 😊.

madeleine, I hope your son recovers speedily now that he is getting hospital treatment.

Mike, glad to hear your MRI went well.

Best wishes to all the windswept Gransnetters. Thinking of Marzipan down in Cornwall and all temporarily without electricity.

Love to Bellas and MaryD.

Life can be so difficult.

Marydoll Fri 23-Oct-26 12:51:40

Thank you for all the good wishes. I am feeling rather grim, but doing as I am told. wink

I have sent a message to all my church contacts, explaining I am unavailable this weekend and to speak to the P.P.
Now he will get an idea of how much I take off his shoulders.

I am feeling quite pleased with myself.

Marydoll now is the time to put your feet up and pull up the metaphorical drawbridge.

Good afternoon, Michael12 and all!

Michael12, I'm happy the scan is finally over, and I hope you get very good results from it. I also wish you well in your friendship with the other person.

karmalady, I LOVE the sweatshirt, and you like the heavy rain as I do!

I read an online report today from the Mirror: ''Regular tea drinking linked to lower risk of stroke and heart disease''. Drinking tea 3 or more times a week is linked to an 11% lower risk of stroke or heart problems if you drink it at normal temperature, but if you like it burning hot, it increases the risk by 16%! I can't have it burning hot!

''6-8 cups of tea per day was pinpointed as the specific volume associated with the lowest estimated risk of vascular disease among weekly tea drinkers''.

Scientists spent 9 years testing almost 500,000 people!

In every 24 hours, I guzzle 3 or 4 mugs, as well as the flasks I take out on my walkies!

Being my day off today, I didn't crash out of bed until 9:50! Snuggled in with the big fat duvet and hot water bottles, I was!

It's been tipping it down all day today and very cold and windy, still is, - gorgeous! - So I've been walking in it with my flask and a couple of bananas!

Thinking of ''Minion food'', as I love different things in my drinking water bottles: I have sliced cucumber with the cold water, tangerine segments, various fruits. Last night I sliced a banana and dropped them in the bottle, then filled it with cold water, put the lid on and shook it a bit, then left it for an hour on my bedside table with my 2 normal water bottles, and after an hour I drank some, and it was lovely!

Tonight, coming up for dinner, I have a ton of Fray Bentos meatballs in gravy, with egg mayo dip, washed down with another cuppa!

For those of you who love cats and comedy, on FB I follow Ginger and Pepper - Cinnamon's Survival Skills, Mersha.theminipanther, Forgi Forfun, Wacky Onsie, Evora.Co, and a Chinese one I can't spell or pronounce. No cats were harmed during the making of the videos; they all volunteered to be ''eaten'' by the gobble monster! I absolutely howl with laughter!

See you later!

marydoll it’s a good thing your “stalker” is away! Hope the PP will realise how much you do to keep the Church running smoothly.

My father died at the age of 48 from a heart attack playing golf in Scotland. He was a workaholic. When he died he was replaced by THREE men.
