Marydoll, that's harassment

Good morning from what was a very windy Suffolk where the wind has suddenly stopped and all is eerily still.

I’m meeting a very good friend for coffee and well then move on to a pub for lunch. We usually meet up every 2-3 weeks but ,because of her recent holiday and other commitments for both of us,it is nearly 7 since we met up. We always have lots of laughs and put the world to rights so looking forward to doing the same today.

DH will take the little dog out for her walk and then go and try and sort out a neighbour’s new tv which he has been unable to use. He wanted one with buttons to operate on the tv itself rather than on a remote control and is frustrated that he can’t buy one like that any more. DH is very patient so all should be well. Neighbour’s brother visited him at the weekend and apparently was angry with S,our neighbour, that he couldn’t work out how to use it and wouldn’t help.

Hope all have a good day whatever your plans are.

Good Morning everyone from a very wet central south coast. We are promised rain for most of the morning and lighter showers after that. It's 13 degrees at present.

My early visit to the surgery yesterday went well and despite a full waiting room (it's usually like the Marie Celeste) lots of nurse appointments moved through quickly. The phlebotomist agreed that as I had a blood test on 1 August I did not need one. She kindly went off to see the prescription team and came back saying my repeat order had not been updated but had now been and they had sent the order through to the pharmacy so all should be well. I was glad I had gone rather than trying to sort it out on the phone.
Later on I got a message from the pharmacy to say my prescription is ready for collection. Their service is excellent.

I had planned to risk a hobble round the garden centre today as we need compost and also trays of winter pansies ready to replace the bedding plants in the pots and in the small bed in the back garden. The rain might deter us but I do have a good raincoat and some the garden centre has coverage. We'll see.

Hope everyone manages all their plans for today and that those with health problems find some ease and comfort.

Good morning from a very dark Black Country, where it is absolutely belting it down!

Luckily my friend and I are going to the Silver Cinema, to see The End of Oak Street. Never heard of it. But it is only £2 with cuppa and biscuit, and you get the recliner seats!

Yesterday was Line Dancing, and for some reason I feel all achey today, especially my left leg.

MrJ did the last lawn cut of the year luckily, and cut back bushes etc. The Garden waste bin is now full!!

MaryDoll I agree with Grandmabatty that is harassment, and I think you should block her number for now.

Wishing you all the best day possible

Good morning all and it’s damp and we’re due for rain most of the day here in Essex. I’m missing my tall trees that have been chopped down over by the station. They told me how windy it was.

Woke at 4 and couldn’t get back off, so read my book and noticed Mick posting at 4.48. 🥱.

Yesterday the plasterer finished and tidied up . All looking good. We’re getting there slowly. I can’t wait for my cosy home to be back in order. Another couple of weeks 🙏.
Our old neighbour came to measure up for carpets. 🤞

The physio came to give Dh an initial session. Over an hour of very thorough treatment. He liked her and booked her in again. She said he is very strong but his balance and motivation needs work. Hopefully this will give him a boost.,🙏.

I spent a most frustrating 1 hr 20 mins in the bank, trying to top up DH’s premium bonds. This has now been going on for 2-3 months with phone calls, online ,and form filling.
DS2 went through it all again and had a text message with all details . He told me just to pop into the bank and transfer the money.

As it was a large amount, my payment was declined and card blocked.
I went into a room with one of the senior staff who phoned the security company who had her ‘on hold’ for 20 minutes.

She needed to speak to me. Question after question and then asked how I’d got all this information and when I said ‘by text message* she said ‘red flag’. So many scammers out there .

I now have to phone NS&I AGAIN!. I’m giving up!

I had other transactions to deal with in the bank but couldn’t face it so walked home to clear my head🤯.

Fgt so sorry you had a sad day. 💐.

I hope all suffering one way or another are feeling a bit brighter. 🌻

Good Morning from Durham, where it’s raining and very wet. I’ve had a really poor night, lying wide awake until after 4am, so I’ve had little sleep. I’m meeting a friend for coffee at 10 and looking forward to a good catch up, as she’s been away in Cambridge for a couple of weeks, cat sitting for her holidaying DD.
DD2’s health is still worrying and on top of a new toe wound, she has burned her little toe - she has no feeling in her feet, and when this happened a few years ago, she was hospitalized with sepsis. Her GP is unavailable until 2/11 and she’s been told she’s just ‘on the list’ for Podiatry. She and I frequent garden centres for the cafes and ‘tat’ and she uses a disabled bay - her money’s as good as anyone’s and I agree that diversification keeps many places open - many visitors aren’t gardeners.

💐*Harrigran*.

Best wishes to all. X

karmalady Tue 20-Oct-26 08:29:31

MD I agree, just block her and delete her altogether. I sometimes receive unwanted whatsapp, such as delivery drivers and I block anyone who is not family. Family are the only whatsapp I want

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s currently 11°C with showers - pretty much similar all day. Mild enough not windy, just dreary.

I have a mani/pedi appointment at the salon in a couple of hours the company and cheerfulness in there will be good to latch onto.

I had a grief fest yesterday evening. I just could not stop crying and remembering upsetting times from this time last year. From now until February I need to try not to dwell on what we were doing around Bonfire Night, Christmas etc as it breaks my heart thinking of what Himself was going through.

As a family we’ve decided not to have a roast dinner at Christmas. Even ordering food on line for collection pinches - so we plan just going for a curry. Suits me, in fact I am relieved. I think I’d be hard put to sit round my daughter’s dining table this year without Himself with us all.

Anyway. That’s then. Today is a whole new day ahead and life is good. I’m fortunate in SO many ways. I’m going to focus on counting my myriad blessings today. Thank you everyone for your kindnesses and virtual hugs. Until it happens, you have no idea of the trauma such an illness generates.

Jaxjacky Tue 20-Oct-26 08:45:44

I miss the silver birch that’s been chopped for the same reason Gingster my seated view outside is changed forever.

Grannydaisy1 Tue 20-Oct-26 08:46:19

fgt hugs

MawsRosie Tue 20-Oct-26 08:47:45

Block her * Marydoll* !
If she asks why, say you don’t need gratuitous rudeness or persecution in your life and she needs to examine her Christian conscience.

Grammaretto Tue 20-Oct-26 08:57:08

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's dreary here too FGT flowers

I had a very long time in bed, mostly asleep for a change. This was no doubt due to spending most of yesterday walking around Edinburgh stopping to look at all the war memorials. Most of which I had hardly noticed before.

General Maczek has a bench outside the City Chambers (he who was a veteran of both world wars, defended Scotland against a possible Nazi invasion but died aged 104 virtually penniless as he was refused a pension not being a member of the British army)

There's also the only known statue of Abraham Lincoln outside the USA.

I definitely think you need to block that pestering person Marydoll

Podiatrist appointment this morning and Gaelic class tonight.

Wishing everyone a good day.

grandMattie Tue 20-Oct-26 08:57:27

Oh, my poor fgt, my heart bleeds for you. It will get easier, I promise; the sadness will remain but the pain will ease.
Glad that the family agreed about Christmas. After Philip died, all DH and I wanted to do for Christmas was hide and have a marmite sandwich, but DS had come back from India and DD was insistent that we spent it with her….

Shel1951 Tue 20-Oct-26 08:59:49

glammagran Tue 20-Oct-26 09:16:59

Good morning from a wet and very dark morning in Wiltshire.

The GCs were good yesterday as both engaged in some Halloween craft work. I’m liking the Baker Ross range from Amazon. GD3 actually ate some PEAS with her mozarella sticks despite them being GREEN. GS2 said he now like chicken with bones in - I think he is referring to chicken wings. GD3 looked disgusted she eats no meat at all except occasionally ham.

Marydoll do not allow this ‘stalker’ to bully you. Block her and report it.

I’m so sorry you are feeling so sad atm FGT’s. It must be awful reliving all the trauma you went through with Himself.

Hope your DD is ok Georgesgran.

Have a good day all.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 20-Oct-26 09:26:48

I would block her and show these messages to your PP.

(((Hugs))) 🌺

GrandmaC47 Tue 20-Oct-26 09:27:38

Marydoll, why not forward her messages to the group chat.

Greyduster Tue 20-Oct-26 09:34:40

I apologise if I ruffled any feathers this morning with my comments about garden centres. It wasn’t my intention. It was borne of frustration at not being able to enjoy the variety of plants they have previously offered, including those I am currently seeking, and the difficulties of finding a space in the car park. We have three large garden centres within a mile and a half of each other and as competition is fierce they all present the same problems now. I do appreciate and accept that not everyone is a gardener and that they must cater for all requirements.

hollysteers Tue 20-Oct-26 09:36:34

Good morning from a damp northwest coast with noisy building work going on next door.
DD arrived home to the south last night after a short but enjoyable couple of days here. We chose wallpaper for my bedroom and decided on paint for the redecoration of the porch. Now that it has new doors, it’s looking very shabby.
We tried to sell some shares to offset the cost, but waited on the phone for so long, she had to go for her long drive. We need to be together for me to authorise it and may do it over FaceTime.

Music club today and I haven’t practised since last Friday, so must have a warble. I hope my Bluetooth speaker doesn’t play up like last time and leave me without a backing. Better get a couple of unaccompanied folk songs ready…

Thoughts to Fgt and all🌺

Marydoll Tue 20-Oct-26 10:03:19

I suspect my stalker has 'propblems'.
The chairperson is going to address it at the next meeting.
The P.P is already aware of what is happening.
Blocking her just means, that she comes looking for me.
Thank you all.
❤️

Good morning, it’s lovely and bright after a wet night here in Co Armagh
I’ve been for my jabs , one in each arm , I don’t usually have problems so fingers crossed
I’ve an itch on the top of my feet ! I’ll have to take off my shoes and socks , I think the socks need replacing , but where to buy ?
Hoping we can make the most of the mild day !

Redcar Tue 20-Oct-26 11:13:01

Thank you for your concern about my DD2 susan. She has seen her asthma nurse who has agreed to prescribe her original medication immediately, rather than the combined preventer and reliever which have caused such problems. Apparently the combined medication is better for the environment! She’s still taking the steroids and antibiotics so there should be some improvement soon.
I’ e had some sleepless nights worrying about her asthma because her OH is away on business in the US until Friday and the girls are only 8 and 3!
Have a good day.

Susan56 Tue 20-Oct-26 12:27:19

Redcar I hope she is soon feeling better on her original medication.DD was told the new ones are better for the environment too🤷‍♀️
