Good morning all,
A good morning from Glasgow, where it is 13°C and rather chilly. Yesterday was glorious, a proper autumn day.
I wanted to clarify, why I have not been posting. Initially, we had no Internet, it was on and off for days, then I got locked of GN. Becoming so fed up, changing passwords, I eventually gave up.
However, the main reason is that, unfortunately, I am not too well at the moment. I am having debilitating chest problems, my RA is rather troublesome and not responding to the new medication and annoyingly, two weeks after the dental procedure, my mouth isn't healing.
Life is quite grim at the moment. In fact, I don't really have a much of a life at all.
Even my bolshieness and determination isn't enough to overcome things.
Yesterday's GP visit has triggered a heart and COPD review, which has been long overdue, despite me hassling the surgery, on a number of occasions.
I now have a double appointment. Success!!
My BP is far too high, higher now than DH's, who is still waiting to see a cardiologist! 😁
Oh the irony of it. It does explain the way, I have been feeling lately.
DH is miffed that, I have streaked ahead, winning the hypertension competition and hogging the limelight. 😉
To my surprise, I received a text last night, saying I had been signed up for the NHS, BP monitoring app. The GP, I saw is definitely on the ball.
This morning, I have new chest medication to try, to help clear my congested lungs. The downside; it may exacerbate one of my pre-existing autoimmune conditions. 🙈
However, any port in a storm. I will try anything, to ease this exhausting, non-stop coughing.
It has got to the point, that managing my meds is becoming almost impossible. There are now only a couple of antibiotics, I can have and the GP decided yesterday, that she was reluctant to prescribe any.
I also need to leave a two hour gap between some, take some only on certain days of the week, some at certain times of the day. I definitely need a spreadsheet! 😄
DH is still unwell, so I am dealing with him too. However, there is an improvement, his BP is slowly coming down.
The main reason I am posting is to thank those lovely posters, who have expressed concern at my absence and contacted me.
I have been feeling very fed up and knowing that there are people on GN care, has lifted my spirits.
Chronic ill health is a lonely journey, you do not wish to burden your family and friends, with your moans..
A long time ago, I accepted that, this is my lot, however I am pretty annoyed (an understatement) at the unfairness of it all.
I haven't been able to concentrate on reading posts, (a wee man with a sledge hampmer, has been living inside my head), but I do want to send those many Gransnetters, who are struggling, my very best wishes.
Many of you have such sorrow to bear.
As for you, R&L, you are on the naughty step for doing too much, too soon. ♥️
Have a good day folks.
P.S. I have done, what I said I wouldn't do: bore everyone with my woes. I do feel better for off-loading. 😉
