Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start to the day here in Brackley.
Up to my usual routine today with the bus to Bicester, do a shop and also chat to those I know.
In addition here in Brackley we have the annual fair which starts tomorrow, which alters my usual bus stop .
Health OK ;
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Shropshire.A dry day forecast.

Like madeleine I had a dentist appointment yesterday and like you madeleine it is my biggest fear.I was lucky yesterday in that there were two other very nervous people in the waiting room and chatting to them took my mind of the appointment. The outcome of the appointment wasn’t as bad as I feared.I have a 45 minute appointment in two weeks😳but was expecting worse.

Today a break from all the medical appointments.DD is taking me to Liverpool for lunch and to see Waitress the musical.I am looking forward to a day with my daughter in my home city.

Grandmabatty I hope you get the scan soon.I feel concerned about you.Can you contact the dr again and see if she can expedite your appointment?

I hope we hear from Marydoll today and that it is just internet issues keeping her from us🙏🏻

Wishing everyone the best day possible🦩🌻

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s dry and sunny this morning, but a chilly 9 degrees out. It rained all day yesterday and the garden is looking greener, most of the green is grass growing on the flower beds, so I’ll need to do something about that.
It’s chair yoga this morning, that will give my back a good stretch!

grannygravy I hope you have a good holiday in Jersey.

grandmabatty I hope your pain eases today.

grammaretto your decluttering is gathering pace! I hope today’s plans work out well for you.

madeleine I’m pleased your dental appointment went well yesterday and that you were reassured by the new dentist. Having to see a different dentist is always a worry isn’t it. I hope today is more normal for you.

I’m concerned that marydoll hasn’t posted for a few days and hope that all is well with her and her family.

Thinking of those who are struggling and hoping life gets easier for you soon,

Have as good a day as is possible everyone. Enjoy your holidays if you’re away, and safe travels if you’re on the move today.

Good morning Mick and everyone from brightish Carlisle. It's getting cooler by the day, and night, were we not to have a heatwave in September? I've still got my bedroom window open during the night, I like fresh air.
Today I'll check my thermostat settings, I don't want the central heating coming on just yet, I'm keeping warm enough.

Yesterday was a quiet day just toddling through little jobs. Today a pile of unchecked and uncleaned shoes are awaiting me in the utility room, probably my next job. I don't care for shoe cleaning! DH used to do it, he loved to produce a row of shiny, clean shoes. Every time I have to do them, I think of him...
After lunch, it's into town. There is an organ recital in the Cathedral, I've not been to one before. DS1 and I went to Evensong a while ago just to hear the organ, it's a wonderful instrument and the organist is very talented.

Best wishes to you Marydoll, I guess you are having a particularly bad time?

Good morning from a brightening N.Bucks.
I finally finished the quilt . As you can see it is a C*******s one, but it was a. Club challenge and we have all done our own version of it.
We are back at craft club this afternoon and I am leading the project which is a pretty glass dish decorated with tissue and gold leaf.
This evening DH and I are going to see Jason Mountford at a local theatre.
Wishing all a good day

Good morning from a bright, breezy Cornwall, ideal drying weather so I'll get my latest batch of charity shop clothes in the washer and out on the line before I go out.

Yesterday's hospital appointment was fascinating. My voice box appeared on a screen and I had no idea it was so small, considering how much I can chat when I get going. grin No nasties in there anyway but the consultant has requested a scan to find out why I'm hoarse. As usual I thoroughly enjoyed being at the hospital. I'm odd, I know. wink

Afterwards I walked to my arty daughter-in-law's new home and we had a wonderful long catch up. She looked beautifully pre-Raphaelitesque (is that even a word?) with her flowing red hair and quirky clothes. I came home on a completely full double decker bus with a bag full of plants from her collection. The last empty seat was next to a good friend of mine so we had a lovely chat on the convoluted stop/start journey which covers several villages.

Today I think Newquay beckons. I haven't been there for months because of the summer heat, but it will be lovely in this weather. And hey, it has a Wetherspoons, so that's my day well sorted.

Sorry about your lonesome trek Ash.

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk after a day of rain yesterday when the temperature never got higher than 14 degrees.

I’m off on the train to Ipswich in a couple of hours for the day to meet a dear friend who I have known for over 55 years. She lives in Essex and amazingly our trains both meeting up and coming home arrive at the station within 10 mins of each other, given my service is,at best, hourly.

We plan to go to an exhibition, well 3 separate ones actually,of Constable paintings and then have lunch in our favourite fish restaurant.

DH will be the chief tea maker for the builder who can now reyrn to finish the painting which I think will include replacing some of the wood on the barge boards which is rotten.

Hope there is some sunshine in everyone’s day.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dry and bright start to the day
Sounds like a wonderful holiday Sago, safe travels home
Yesterday I got my hair done which I’m pleased with, it was a really relaxing afternoon and I caught up on the local news. Today I’ve a busy day ahead with the gym, coffee with pals and then dancing this evening, all very enjoyable and social.
Hoping your DH can get the leak fixed quickly Ash and travel over here
Hope everyone has the best day they can, take care all 💐

Good morning from a cloudy but dry Black Country.

Enjoyed The Sheep Detectives yesterday, better than I expected.

Today, over to Mums to shop in Lidl for her, strip the bed and put washing on. She will be at Day Centre, as I usually go on Tuesdays.

Hoping Marydoll is ok

Good morning everybody from Ibiza where another splendid day of hot sunshine is forecast at 33°C, perfect beach weather.

Wednesday in Es Cańa is hippy market day. Bus loads of holidaymakers come into this little town. No thanks, as far as I’m concerned it’s a load of tat with joss sticks and tattooists.

As my aunt said when we all used to holiday here every September “you rarely see anyone coming back round the corner carrying bags with what’s caught their eye do you?” That made us all laugh but she was right! Nuff said.

On Wednesdays years ago, we used to get the bus into Santa Eulalia to disappear from the crowds instead and sit at the wonderful Royalty bar there, on the square sharing wine and tapas for the 4 of us. A lovely holiday memory.

However today I just fancy staying put on my own and I’ll be on the beach again. Which I ❤️

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Meeting friends for coffee this morning then home for an Ocado delivery.
Tried chair Pilates yesterday and was surprised how hard it was.
I had a long conversation with one of our lovely doctors who has referred me to the Spinal Unit.
DH is having a phone call from his consultant on Thursday!

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning all. No rain forecast today. Yesterday it rained all day until 5 and then the sun came out.

My ‘drowning ‘friend picked me up for Bridge and she’s still in a state of shock with very bruised ribs. Her Dh is back today . I’m surprised he didn’t come home when she had the accident. He’s a lovely chap who would do anything for anyone, ….usually! 🤔.

We had the district nurse come and take blood from Dh and the accountant coming to look through paperwork. Times 1 hr apart. Of course they arrived at the same time. Both very pleasant ladies so all was well.

The accountant was very reassuring and will be our saving grace.🤞.

Today Dd will come in for coffee after school drop off and then we’ll wander up to town as it’s market day and I’ll meet my friend for coffee. Dd might join us. My friend is always pleased to see her. We had our babies 1 week apart nearly 48 years ago in the same hospital, so she was the first to meet Dd after Dh of course. We used to spend 10 days in hospital after the birth.

I’m meeting another friend for lunch so will be out most of the day. Dh will be ok as his friend is coming to take him out for lunch.

We’ve been trying to increase DH’s premium bonds for about 6 weeks now. It’s nigh on impossible. 4 phone calls and three lots of forms filled in and returned and Dh is still not registered. DS1 has taken over but no further forward. Why is life so frustrating these days.

Happy holidays GG
Enjoy your stay with your girls Sar.
Hope Madeleines leg improves . You must keep it raised! 🙏. Marydoll 💐.

Take care all 🌻

WhiteSwan I hope today goes well for you and your family.

Good morning from a once again sunny blue skyed N Surrey after a very wet day most of yesterday.

DHs ashes collected and safely home. My dear sister in law and I both had a rest in the afternoon. Emotion is tiring.

Today I have an appointment at one of our 2 banks. Be good to get that done. And with another couple of washing loads the mountain is reducing.

So today is one foot in front of the other.

I hope others in the same position as I am or those with worries and poor health have as good a day as possible. A pleasant autumn day to us all.
