Good morning from a damp and cloudy Suffolk where we had rain overnight. I hesitated about putting the cover on the outdoor sofa in the back yard, thinking superstitiously that it might stop any rain but now am glad I did and it didn’t!
Another day of keeping D supplied with mugs of tea throughout the day as he continues with painting the outside which is not an easy job. Every window has 16 small panes and there are quite a few windows.
I love the ways of the workmen around here. We knew D’s grandfather when we first moved here more than 40 years ago and he has learnt all he knows he tells us from his family. He told me yesterday not to worry about any drops of paint on any window as he uses a blade to get rid of them before giving all the windows a ‘really good clean. After all he said with sparkling new paint you want windows to match.
About to make a 2nd cuppa and read your posts which I hope have news of others being blessed with cooler weather and some rain. Hope today is a good one for all.
