I got soaked on my walk here in North Wales. About 5 minutes of heavy rain. I didn't mind. Pleased to see it.

S E Essex we have had zero rain - our DD lives in our road, 5 minute walk she has had to close her windows as the rain was coming in 🤷‍♀️

It has rained steadily here in Stockport not poured as I would have liked for the garden but welcome all the same.

We had some overnight, and we've had a few showers this morning, a couple of which were very heavy indeed. At least Mr VV won't have to water the veg today then. Meanwhile, I've been busy in the kitchen pickling onions and some beetroot.

Here in S E Essex DD has had to shut her windows as the rain was coming in.

We live a five minute walk away, same road, not a drop 🤷‍♀️

Oops thought I had lost former post 🤦‍♀️

Bukkie

Nothing here is East Yorkshire despite being promised. Really disappointed.

We got yours in S Yorks. But it sounds like Manchester way got most of it! It hasn't been enough for the garden tho.

Quite a lot in north west wales but not sure how much as over night

We had some in the SW, not heavy but everything is so much fresher.
It's gettinng hot again now though.
Hope Cairngorms got some to damp down the fire.

A little rain in the early hours here in Perth. Much more needed.

Greyduster Sun 26-Jul-26 12:25:48

Well I live in the same city as two people on Gransnet who both say they have had rain, but here we’ve had none. No evidence of it at all. I was out this morning picking blackberries and we had a teaspoonful and nothing since. Weirdly selective, this weather.

Curlywhirly Sun 26-Jul-26 12:29:14

Woke up to quite heavy rain here in Cheshire. It brightened up a couple of hours ago and all traces of rain now gone.

Wyllow3 Sun 26-Jul-26 12:29:53

Now that is bizarre Greyduster. My guess is I live quite high up to the western edge?

Greyduster Sun 26-Jul-26 12:42:59

The other Gransnetter lives a few miles from me so I still don’t get it! I’m getting a persecution complex😂!

Wyllow3 Sun 26-Jul-26 12:45:42

Oh dear, what have you done to deserve this 😳

We had a little ( very welcome ) rain last night and this morning. Enough to wet the flagstones, but not enough to do the garden any good, unfortunately.

We're in West Yorkshire, near the M62, just on the right side of the hill! ( Sorry, all Lancastrians! ).

It's still mizzling now, but I don't think it will amount to much. Still, it's much appreciated here!

It's not enough not to need to water pots tonight.
