At the top of the hour, instead of say 12 o’clock or Noon.

I love "My bad"! So succinct and quite apt where an outright apology isn't really called for.

Agree.. I have used it, it covers a lot.
It's obviously a "Marmite" word.

Guys!! Overly. Majorly. Normalcy. Like. Not actually a word but a rising note at the end of a sentence - makes it appear as a question.

High school. We have secondary schools.

“She slid into his DMs”. Had to ask my son what this meant. Still not sure. Thought DMs meant Doc Martin boots.

Hun!
I absolutely detest being called hun! Whenever I’m gifting or selling on fb etc I can guarantee someone will message me saying ‘can you deliver hun?’ ‘Can I collect tomorrow hun?’ I also support a local rescue organisation and they’ve taken to calling me hun! Aaaarrrrggghhh!
Call me love, duck, petal, Mrs, pal……..anything but HUN!

Direct Messaging...on social media. Usually means sending someone a private message in a flirting context.

All of the above.

When a police spokesperson says “we are working at pace” on the case.

‘Reaching out’ it sounds so supplicant and needy compared with just ‘contacting’. When organisations use it it’s grating.

The term "Wowser!" used enthusiastically. I think it's an American expression, a declaration of sublime delight.

Sets my teeth on edge.

Virtually all of the above, plus an ordinary word which has been hijacked and used in the wrong context or, frankly, anything which is totally incomprehensible to me!
