‘Early doors’ makes me want to slap anyone who says or writes it. ‘Step foot’ instead of ‘set foot’ (just seen elsewhere) is another. I don’t feel like slapping them, but I privately judge them as ignorant or stupid or both.
Starting everything with 'so' is definitely still on the rise. Listen to people being interviewed on TV. They usually start explaining themselves with 'So....'
'My bad' is awful, and also putting 'shade' on someone.
Young people using 'sick' is probably the worst.😬
Although 'like' has become part of everyday language. It's like the most used and the most terrible.
I have not heard, "My bad" yet! I will listen out for it. I only heard the phrase, "It's the optics of it." recently and didn't understand it. I hate, "Can I get...." It is "Can I please have.... or " Please may I have....."
Yes and the narrative. They're all doing it. Is beginning every sentence with So still a thing? I haven't noticed it much recently. Perhaps I am using it too😯
