Can’t you shut down your account and start a new one with a different name spelling or something you can tell friends what and why you’re doing it because that sounds very very annoying

You need to remove this post immediately and change your insta.
You have given far too much away.
Your insta shows a photo of yourself, the name and the name of your husband.

I now know where you live.
I have learnt about your business hobbies etc.
You must turn all your and your husbands accounts to private.

Also remove what you have put on X and FB.

All I had to do was click the link then put his name in Insta, it immediately came up with your account naming you husband etc.
Your accounts give birthdays, anniversaries and infringe you business.
You are leaving yourselves wide open to fraud.

I got all your info, home address, business address etc.

I’m not that tech savvy, but Sago’s right - lots of personal info easily available there.

Do you find all that info out by checking someone’s FB account.
I’ve never had a FB account so I don’t know how it works.

If you put the scammers name into insta it flags up the Weirdos post about him on her instagram account.

This account gives her name, husband’s name details of their business, birthdays etc.

If you then google their names and their home town, the addresses come up via newspaper articles, planning applications etc.

It doesn’t take 5 minutes.

I didn’t look on FB, I’m not a fan!

The OP does not accept private messages so I can not do much else.

You have done the right thing in warning her.
Some folk are really that daft!
I have warned friends about putting correspondence in the bin with personal information on the letters, prescriptions, etc, still they do it.
Really can’t do any more than to warn them, then leave them to it I guess.

Whilst on holiday this week, this guy was trying to get people to sign up to funding the disabled.
(I have seen this scam on YouTube).
They want cash, or credit card details & the number off the back of the card. So I was frantically flapping my hands to warn this young couple (as she was giving all her details) that it was a scam.
Next thing he had me pinned up against the wall, whilst jabbing his pen into my stomach.
My 80 year old mum told him where to get off 😳
Bit daft of me really to get involved but I hate these scammers so much.
