…according to a dd who’s gone camping this weekend on the S coast with her 3 dcs - it makes packing easier! No need to bother with jackets or jumpers!

Another is I’ve hardly used any gas for weeks - just a 15minute blast for hot water every morning.

Sorry, camping? No, just no, never.

We went to Winchester by train last weekend and traveled really light: no coat, umbrella or even a jumper. One change of clothes and a cotton nightie was all that was required.

We were away for a couple of nights at the beginning of the week and it was so much easier not packing all the ‘just in case’ stuff

Also I’ve been washing everything in sight as it dries so quickly!

Yes, I took two hoodies away with me to France back in May, and when I came home last week, they had remained unworn.

I remember going camping in England one very hot summer.
We slept outside our tent, under the stars, on top of our sleeping bags. We were in a field and there was no cloud and no light pollution, it was magical.

Yes, we took the children camping - Devon - near Bantham - we were away for a month - fabulous weather the whole time. We rigged up a shower affair inside a beach windbreak I remember. We had a toilet tent that was too hot to sit in😄.

The whole time was spent with days swimming, eating out doors and sitting watching “falling stars” as the children called them, with the bats flitting about snd owls hooting. One of life’s memories. The garden was like a jungle when we got back.

I felt the same when we went to London a few days ago. No issues about "just in case" clothes. But goodness me it was scorching!
