On an absolute whim, I searched 'Retread + Gransnet' and this is what AI says of me on here (love the level-headed 😂).

Galaxy

That made me laugh doodledog.

I treat it like a first year student😉

Mine mentioned warm thoughts! Think all of us have been thinking of nothing but warm, hot, boiling, baking & absolutely scorching thoughts!

Ask it to support what it is saying. Mine apologised a couple of times for misinformation, and was more accurate afterwards

Galaxy

It us a bit weird, it doesn't seem to reflect our themes of posting, if you asked me the first thing that came to mind about Iam64 it would be safeguarding, and mine wouldn't really be youth unemployment.

Mine does.
The kevel of information about ne is unsettling, since I'm sure there are things ive not posted about in detail.

Thanks for the thread, Retread, this is fun! I’ve done it 3 times with different results. Apparently I’m long-standing and very active and like giving pragmatic advice (a bit bossy then). Other members associate my name with a Rod Stewart hit and I have “a massive archive of threads”. For some reason AI thinks I have a particular interest in smart bathroom scales and the shingles vaccine. grin

Shinamae Thu 25-Jun-26 19:24:01

Well, I must be doing it wrong because I’ve tried to do it twice my name shinamae+gransnet And all I get is threads from various years..🤷‍♀️

Iam64 Thu 25-Jun-26 19:18:35

Galaxy - that was my fear, some reference to my ‘areas of special interest ‘
I was more cautious when I joined as I was recently retired. Ready g the AI description thankfully didn’t expose my (obvious) history of employment

I don't recognise myself.
I'd give mother Theresa a good run for her money!

Well that isn’t news to us MissA 🌞
I’ve looked at mine 🙈.
Im a tech avoider but I’m going to have to drag myself into more understanding. I’ll ask my 11 year old grandson

You have to put "gransnet" (+) your "username" otherwise you do just get e.g. you're a holiday cottage.

Galaxy Thu 25-Jun-26 19:02:48

Ah MissAdventure that's how I think of you, but a naughtier version grin

Sago Thu 25-Jun-26 19:02:12

Just an unappetising milky pudding!

I haven’t looked!!!!!!

Evidently under my original name, I’m a well-known, long-standing member of the Gransnet community, frequently participating in lively discussions across various sub-forums including politics, health and gardening.

Certainly the first two, but gardening?

Mollygo, mine, from Google AI, the wording of mine is almost identical to yours, but instead of gardening mine gives The Archers.😄

Excuse my ignorance, but how and where did you do this?

Or just type into the Google search bar - that will give you an AI answer too 👍🏻"

Yes, that's what I did, and the first result is the AI answer to the search.

kittylester Thu 25-Jun-26 18:27:05

Apparently, i have a heart condition and navigate life with a pacemaker. To be honest I had failed to spot that.

Witzend Thu 25-Jun-26 18:19:20

Goodness knows what it’d say about me.
‘Spends far too much time on GN, MN and FB, but likes dogs and knitting.’

On reflection, I am not too chuffed about being described as a "user".

Millie22 Thu 25-Jun-26 17:34:10

Mine said I was in my 50's and like crafts.

Mine said I was right wing and didn't approve of immigration, so I told it to look again and it apologised😀

Wow this makes me even more sceptical of Ai powers

Aveline

Mine just goes on about me supporting Allira. Doesn't seem to look back to my many years on Gransnet.

ChatGtp started with that thread too, until I pointed out that MaizieD posted most on N&P and that all posts were available for the general public to view Then it dug a bit deeper.
