It never was. When you joined GN you'll have ticked a box to say that they own your posts. They put them on Facebook and can sell them to the media if they want to.

Yes I have always been shocked at what GNs reveal about themselves. And this is another level.

It initially said that I was born in Singapore. I replied ‘no I wasn’t’ and it apologised for getting it wrong saying they had mixed me up with another person. Actually everything else was spot on!
