Crying over sad songs on the radio

Just listening to Michael Ball on Radio2, and he played Lean on Me by Bill Withers. Couldn't stop the tears coming, as it's so poignant. I seem to feel a lot like this recently whenever I hear certain songs; Carole King's You've got a Friend is another one. Never used to feel like this, so must be an age thing! Also, the fact that he's pjaying lots of Father's Day dedications isn't helping! Anyone else have songs which set them off?

P J Proby is still alive I’ve just Googled him.
He’s 87.
I thought he was gorgeous (when I was about 12) 😁
Texas born, he lives in the UK now apparently.

During a music lesson at secondary school, the teacher played a record called Deck of Cards. I sat and listened to the words and to my embarrassment was a blubbering mess by the end.

Time to Say Goodbye is too much to bear right now.

Rarely hear this one on the radio but I always think of my own Dad talking about his father who he always referred to fondly as ‘the old man’.

There's a Sinaed O'Connor song, "My Darling Child" where she just croons to her baby, calling him Me little lamby, my little puppy, me little ninja.

She's usually pretty serious in her songs, so it makes it all the sweeter , with her beautiful lilting voice.

Its very sad, considering the end of her life, now.

The First Time Ever I saw your Face, plus Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, get me every time. I often have to leave the room.

In My Life, by The Beatles, resonates with me...especially because we are getting older.

I’m just in the middle of drawing up my funeral plans - yes, I’d like that song too, by Stevie Wonder

Do not sing to me my Beauty, Rachmaninov
La Vergine degli Angeli, Leontyne Price from Force of Destiny, Verdi. Not a song, but would like it for my funeral.

Sweet Thames flow softly.
Theres a version by Christy Moore (?) and Sinead O'Connor, which is lovely.
One particular line about his love leaving, and taking his sun, moon and stars with her.
