Morning everyone,
Chilly and showery here this morning, which I think is continuing through the day. Looks like we had our summer last week.
A lazy day ahead, I think, other than church shortly and a few basic chores.
Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday.

Good morning from a very dull overcast day here in Hertfordshire although I think it may stay dry which is very welcome after all the rain yesterday. Had a lovely day with GS and his girlfriend yesterday, lunch out then back to cake and tea with his mum, dad and older sister. Plan today to go to local town. DH has mobility issues, walking is a shuffle really but we've bough a rollator. He's reluctant and says he doesn't need it but I'm hoping it will improve his walking. He's so stubborn but hopefully we'll get there. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from Shropshire.Dull and breezy at the moment.

A quiet day planned before a busy few weeks.I have an ear infection which is playing havoc with my blood sugars so feeling rubbish.

A lovely welcome home FGT, they will all be glad to see you.

Sad news Ash.

I hope you are well enough for the concert Gagagran after all the rehearsals you attended 🙏🏻

Thinking of our absent friends and all struggling and wishing everyone a good day🦩🌷

Good morning from a dry NE.
Yesterday was not as wet as predicted and in fact the evening was sunny and a pleasant temperature.
DS visited and brought his banjo, he played folk tunes while I prepared dinner.
After dinner DS suggested we try out the wheelchair and he pushed me around the estate, it was lovely to have some fresh air.
Nothing planned for today so maybe some reading or find a TV series I fancy watching.
Have a good day.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry at present and Alexa tells me 18°C is our forecast with showers later.

When I got in there was a note on the table written by L’il Miss. - they’d kindly been round to put milk in the fridge for me. Anyway they’d left a bottle of wine, a box of cheese twists and some olives.

It’s nice to be home and I’ve slept like a log. Today I plan to pop over to see my stepfather - see if he’d like some groceries, come home for a bite to eat then go over with holiday presents for our Boy Wonder and his sister.

Morning from a dry S Hants, less windy than yesterday’s gusts with lots of rain, nothing was done outside.
A walk today, MrJ at bowls, chicken for dinner.
Safe journey llfl and others travelling.
Enjoy your break Gingster precious time for you to slowly say goodbye to your seaside home.

Good morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country, after a very rainy day yesterday.

Woke up with a streaming cold, so won't be doing much today. Can't remember the last time I had a cold

MrJ has to go over to the Hospital to take his DD home, as they have backtracked on their offer to provide transport. Her Mum doesn't have a car. Just waiting to hear when she has been discharged.

Wishing you all the best day possible

Good morning Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is dry for now. My iPad is as flat as a pancake this morning and I have just had to jump through hoops to log in on my phone - ended up changing my password twice! I feel rather ratty now!

Not much achieved yesterday. Too wet for the Botanical Gardens. DD has suggested we try for a walk today. I can’t summon the enthusiasm for it at the moment. I feel flatter than my iPad. Perhaps I need plugging in somewhere😊!

Have the best you can folks.

kittylester Sun 07-Jun-26 08:30:23

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

Another quiet day here involving the papers, the Test match and roast lamb. The quiet will probably be broken by our neighbours rehearsing for their various upcoming stage roles.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 12°C and showery,
I eventually fell asleep at 2am, so am feeling washed out.

Ash, sad news about your priest. R.I.P. Your comment certainly resonated with me

Gaga, I hope you feel better as the day goes on. I have to run (a bit of irony there) to Silverburn, to collect a parcel. It is about to go back to the warehouse, because I haven't felt up to going.

This afternoon, I will drive DH to see Babydoll, we are missing her so much. We are not missing her so much, that we are fit enough to return to childminding. 😉

Also, I have bought her a carved wooden sign for her new tree house and want to give it to her,
She has been asking us for ages, to come and see it.
I know she is going to insist I climb up it! I can hardly put one foot in front of the other at the moment. 🤣
If I get stuck, the fire station is only round the corner! 🚒🚒🚒

DIL was raving about the empire biscuits, obtainable from a bakery near their home, when DS, commented that his mum's (mine) were better than any bakery, but he hadn't had any in years. I have made a batch to take with me.
I will also make strawberry tarts to take, another of his favourites

I am waiting for the heat bag to lesson my pain, then I will get up.
It's Sunday and raining, Silverburn will be so busy and I dislike crowds, when my mobility isn't great. I find people very rude nowadays, especially young and fit people on phones, expecting me to get out of their way.

I wish you all a pleasant Sunday.

Good morning from Durham. A cool, windy day is forecast with a bit of rain thrown in. I’ve been awake for ages, worried I’d oversleep.
It’s a busy weekend and today is DGS2’s 5th birthday party. My car is packed up and I’m ready to go to DD2’s first, before heading to the venue. I predict Bedlam, then all over for another year, when there’s not to be another big party, just a few friends doing ‘something’. Little Dog is going home for the day, but I’ll bring him back here with me for another sleepover- it’ll give DD2 time to get all the party stuff and gifts sorted out later.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning all and the sun is shining here on the Suffolk coast. It’s still breezy but not like the winds of yesterday. They nearly knocked Dh over when he ventured into the garden.

We sat in the summerhouse and watched the waves. The sea was loud and crashing. So exciting! Like Marzipan I love wild weather.

We had an hours reprieve from the rain and did some dead heading of the roses. It is indeed a great year for them.

Today we aren’t forecast rain so I will do some much needed gardening. Our handyman mowed and strimmed for us last week so the lawns look neat and tidy.

I’ll concentrate on cleaning another room . The amount of woodlice piles, cobwebs, and dust has accumulated since we were here last. And a plague of ladybirds.
I could have got the cleaners in, but quite honestly she didn’t do a great job last time. I can do better if I take my time and do it thoroughly.

The various surveyors who have been in aren’t very tidy and leave things array. They’ve even left the loft hatch open. I’ll ring the EA tomorrow and get them to come and put it back. We can’t do it. 😤.

We love being here and memories of our last 27 years keep popping into my mind. My head must rule over my heart! ❤️
and be grateful we’ve had this lovely place for so long.

Get well soon all who are suffering one way or another.🙏.
Safe journeys to all travellers
Have a pleasant day everyone. 🌺

Good morning from a cloudy Morecambe Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed watching DGD who was the second princess in the English Youth Ballet (thanks for the correction Ash I was given spurious information!)
I didn’t enjoy Manchester though. I felt quite intimidated- some would call it vibrant. Put me up a mountain or to wander through a quiet wood any day. Each to their own I suppose, the grandchildren love the city.
My Sil and her husband who had been looking after Crazy dog stayed overnight and we will go for a peaceful walk together when everyone is up and about.
Take care everyone 🌸

brook2704 Sun 07-Jun-26 08:05:02

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dry bright start to the day
Yesterday was busy, dgd and their new puppy were no trouble at all, dgd is so besotted with the puppy it was lovely to see them playing together. Today I’m hoping to get some gardening done today, there’s quite a bit to do and I enjoy being outside. Other than that nothing planned, it’s lovely just to have time to potter
Well done to your footballing dgs marzipan a little star in the family there!
Safe travels home llfl a busy week ahead!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning everyone from a brightish Northampton, but showers expected late afternoon. Yesterday was.very.similar with heavy showers throughout the day.

Had a very quiet day, reading the newspapers, and watching rugby on tv. And of course applying my eye drops - which needs doing 7 times throughout the day at regular intervals for three weeks.

Today will be similar! Although I may find a film to watch this afternoon.

Dinner will be a roast gammon with a berry sauce (courtesy of Sainsburys).

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Astitchintime Sun 07-Jun-26 07:53:42

Good morning from a dry NE Midlands. Washing machine is already on - been far too wet this week so taking advantage of a dry day with a light breeze.
Have a safe and pleasant day one and all!

GrannyGravy13 Sun 07-Jun-26 07:48:03

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Another quiet day, a call to DB who has had some tests but I don’t think he will have results yet, he gets very agitated.
My cleaner is still on holiday so I will have to tackle some floor cleaning not an easy task now
Best wishes to all

Gagagran Sun 07-Jun-26 07:39:30

Good Morning all from a still chilly central south coast but at least the wind has eased and the rain has supposedly moved on.

I had a gastritis flare up yesterday afternoon on top of the streaming cold I am in the midst of so felt distinctly unwell. This morning, I am still streaming and feeling washed out but did get some sleep. I am not hopeful of being well enough to sing in the choir concert next Saturday unless I make a rapid recovery.

Safe travels to everyone on the move and may all the crafters on here, who leave me in awe of their skills, have a creative day.

All of us in the sick bay will try our best to buck up and return to normal duties as soon as possible! (including the bees LLF - maybe they are just cold and damp?)

Redcar Sun 07-Jun-26 07:37:18

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s cool but sunny at the moment, I think a dry day is forecast. DD1 and her DH and the dog visited in the morning while the DGDs were at their dance and drama class. My SIL brought down some boxes from the loft, so I sorted those out and put a whole box full into the recycling. DD2 visited in the afternoon and sorted through a box of jigsaw puzzles but decided they could all go to the charity shop.

hollysteers I hope you have a pleasant few days in Cornwall with your sister and DD.

M0nica I’m pleased the antibiotics are working and you are feeling better.

ash sad news about your former parish priest.
Well done to all DGC whose talents and achievements have been recognised.

Thinking of all who are in the sick bay and hoping you feel better soon.

Have as good a day as possible folks.

hollysteers Sun 07-Jun-26 07:17:09

Good morning from Berkshire where I am with my DD, arriving yesterday from the north. The journey down by train was ok apart from a hold up at Crewe and I had a lovely meal cooked by DD in the evening.

We had an early night as my sister from London arrives around 9.30 and DD is driving us to Cornwall for a few days. I’m glad to hear the wind has dropped Marzipan,

Sorry to your of your loss Ashcombe and thoughts to all

Cossy Sun 07-Jun-26 07:02:37

Good morning all

Sun peeping through in St Osyth.

Bit tired as bad night and awake earlier than planned due to a noisy magpie!!

Have a great Sunday one and all.

🙂🙂

M0nica Sun 07-Jun-26 06:57:48

Good morning from Cambridgeshire, At the moment it is bright and sunny. The sun is streaming into my study where I am.

I am up early this morning and feeling really bright. I have been under the weather for the last few days as I have an abscess somewhere uncomfortable, but the antibiotics are at last working. They seem also to have banished the runny nose and slight cough I have had over the last few months.

Grandmabatty Sun 07-Jun-26 06:56:58

Dgd's team, that should say

Grandmabatty Sun 07-Jun-26 06:56:21

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and cloudy. It feels cool. baubles that's a shame for your dad's team.
Yesterday I had breakfast with my friend and we learned it was the last day of our favourite wee waitress who is moving on to better things. She's a tonic and will be much missed. I then visited dd and the boys for a couple of hours. It was nice to spend time with them, although dgs1 was out playing with a friend nearby a d dgs2 disappeared to play in his bedroom. Funnily enough, I bought rhubarb to make jam too.
Today im up sharp as I have a very early tesco delivery then I'll make the jam. The rest of the day will be quiet. Enjoy your day all
