Is there another incarnation? Really? If that had been said at the start of all this it would have put a completely different light on things.
I never understood how she got away with so much. My only post deletions were on threads on which she reported everyone who disagreed with her (or pointed out that her posts didn’t make sense) and were littered with deletions not just mine - literally any that disagreed.
I do speak my mind, and will challenge weasel words, but I don’t think I make personal comments (I try hard not to), but threads she posted on became impossible to read as there were so many deletions of perfectly reasonable posts.
I don’t know who was banned because of her, but I do know that several posters left of their own volition, and that she targeted people by bringing in supposed ‘lurkers’ who claimed to have been watching from afar and who simultaneously ‘felt the need to act’. They would swarm in, target those who had crossed swords with her, be vile to them then their shiny new names would disappear. They wouldn’t care if they were banned, as they weren’t real members - more of a search and destroy squad. She once had such a campaign that started on MN, so posters from there joined in too. Unhinged behaviour.
A few of us emailed HQ about it, with full details of where it was happening, but nothing was done. I never knew why she vanished - It was some time later, and I didn’t see a big bang, but one day she was gone. Odd.
As nobody would name names or even hint, I thought Person X was a regular (current) poster, not a reincarnation of that one. As such, I did feel that there could be two sides to the story, whoever she was, and that she would be feeling terrible about all the support for Allira. If, OTOH, this is indeed a return, I take that all back. When she was causing mayhem she had already had a life ban but came back with HQ’s support - how was that allowed if a ban means a ban?
