Good Morning Everyone,
Its light with a clear sky so no doubt another hot day here in Brackley .
I hope it cools down soon ,as going out to Bicester on the bus is not enjoyable with the heat .
Health OK,
Take Care,
Mick

Hello again Borrheid πŸ‘β˜˜οΈ I was Notre Dame -our Grandaughter is at Bellerive - taught by The Faithful Companions of Jesus to our everlasting joy πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈπŸ™πŸ½β€οΈπŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ - wishing you and Marydoll a comfortable night and prayers assured πŸ™πŸ½β˜˜οΈπŸ‘πŸ•ŠοΈβ€οΈ

Our nuns were Faithful Companions of Jesus mother house was in Broadstairs - not far from where I live now.

EVEOHA2602 Wed 27-May-26 20:29:56

Hope your nuns were Notre Dame de Namur ❀️ Marydoll I remembered your friends username as I googled it thinking it may be a holy well πŸ™πŸ½πŸ‘β˜˜οΈπŸ•ŠοΈ

Borrheid55

Not quite sure where or why you were invoking my name but hello! anyway! MD and I were at school together so I have known her nearly 60 years.

Those were the days with the nuns!

We lost touch, then found each other again on a GN thread about school songs.

I realised that it couldn't be just a coincidence, same song, DOB and the user name clinched it!

Hello again πŸ‘β˜˜οΈπŸ•ŠοΈ I remembered that you and Marydoll had some sort of connection and tbh I was a bit wary in reaching out - however I am thankful that I did and for both your response and M’doll’s return to Gnet and updating us - such a relief - wishing you both well πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈβ˜˜οΈπŸ•ŠοΈπŸ‘

Such difficult times MD but at least you saw the GP today and were listened to. All being well it will now be onwards and upwards. Would your granddaughters be able to cheer him up during a brief visit? 🌷

My very best wishes and thoughts Marydoll I hope things can begin to sort the problem out

EVEOHA2602 Wed 27-May-26 17:14:13

Hello Borrheid 55 - I was invoking your user name as I was concerned re Marydoll - I hope you don’t mind ( I almost got it correct - just missed off the β€˜55’ ) I hope things will be a bit easier for you both πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈπŸ‘β˜˜οΈ

Fingers crossed for a better tomorrow, Marydoll. I really sympathise with you caring for a less than rational OH whose fear makes him unreasonable. Been there, got the tee shirt. At least the GP really listened, which is a small plus.

Dh is just in his mancave MD trying to process the whirlwind of information in his head. I am hoping that this is the peak today and that things slowly but surely get better enough

For better for worse, in sickness and in health

No need to explain, we know and we understand

kittylester Wed 27-May-26 15:18:08

Relish the silent treatment MD. grin

Marydoll Wed 27-May-26 15:14:45

HelterSkelter, the GP agreed that DH is not making rational judgements at the moment. His BP is affecting his cognitive abilities.

I made a vow In sickness and in health, I will stick to it. He has done so much for me in the past, through some very difficult times.

I wish I could hide under a duvet.❀️

Oh dear marydoll sorry about the silent treatment, sometimes my DH would go days without speaking to me, so I know how it feels. Hope the medication and further tests help to get to the bottom of the problem. flowers

HelterSkelter1 Wed 27-May-26 14:02:53

Marydoll. Just ignore the silent treatment. Enjoy the qui/ - . / 'et. Give him the silent treatment. You are not responsible for other people's health just your own. Keep telling yourself that.
I have to remind myself I am not responsible for DH's happiness, just my own.
I don't mean don't help with appointments etc, but ultimately it is not your responsibility.
Concentrate on your own health.

BlueSapphire Wed 27-May-26 13:52:19

Oh dear Marydoll you do seem.to have your work cut out with your DH - at least someone has listened this morning. and hopefully progress will be made.
Thinking of you both. x

Borrheid55 Wed 27-May-26 13:50:01

Marydoll what a stressful time. I worry for your health. Oh for a quiet life! I can’t engage with much at the moment as the fibromyalgia and CFS are taking over. I could happily stay under the duvet permanently atm but of course, here in Kent, it has been 35C for several days! Have a good day and rest dearest friend! X

Marydoll Wed 27-May-26 13:41:45

The GP was lovely and invited me in with DH.
More meds, and tests organised.

I am so relieved, but DH is giving me the silent treatment.

All the best MD. Sometimes, an uncharacteristic meltdowns work a treat with the dragon πŸ‰ ladies.

FGT, what a lovely piso, love the bougainvillea. My grandmother had a white one over her veranda.
